Lands and Structures
There are many lands and structures to buy; if you are unsure what you should be buying, visit the "Downloads" section of the web site and download one of the spreadsheets to track what land or structure will earn you the most return on investment.
The initial cost of each land or structure is for your first purchase, and you can buy up to ten units. Once you have at least one unit, the price of your subsequent purchases increases. This also means that the selling price of the land or structure also depends on the number of units or that land or strucuture that you currently own.
Refer to the "FORMULA" section at the end of this page for a list of useful formulas that you can use to calculate prices.

FORMULAS
To find the cost of your land or structure after you buy more:
C = I + ( I * .15 * N),
Where C is the expected cost, I is the initial price (price when you have 0), and N is the number of units you will own AFTER YOU BUY THEM.
To find your return when you sell your land or structure:
R = 0.4 * P * S
Where R is the money you will get back, P is the current buy price, and S is how many you wish to sell.
To find your Return On Income (ROI):
ROI = Y / P
Where Y is the unit's yield (how much it will make you) and P is your current buy price. ROI is useful in determining how good of a deal it is for each purchase. The higher the ROI, the better the deal.
Note: None of these formulas factor in land price when you are building structures and using up land. They work independently, for both land and structures, but not for both together. Land really shouldn't matter too much, because it costs so little compared to structures, although you can modify these formulas to add the land price if you wish. ROI works for either.
